Dr. Micah Kohles, DVM, MPA earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Kansas State University in 2001 and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Nebraska–Omaha in 2010. He joined Oxbow Animal Health in 2006 and served as Chief Veterinary Officer for Oxbow Animal Health/Compana Pet Brands until 2024.
Dr. Kohles currently owns and practices at Woodland Animal Hospital, which operates two locations in Nebraska. He is also the founder of Odyssey Animal Health, a consulting firm serving the veterinary and pet care industries. In addition, he serves as an adjunct professor at the University of Nebraska’s School of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.
A sought-after speaker, Dr. Kohles frequently lectures at veterinary schools and conferences both domestically and internationally. He has been recognized as Speaker of the Year at both the VMX and Western Veterinary Conference.
Dr. Kohles currently serves as Second Vice Chair/Secretary of the World Pet Association and has held leadership positions in numerous professional veterinary organizations.
Outside of his professional pursuits, Dr. Kohles enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife, Ashley, and their three children – Tegan, Kai, and Taiya.
