Swab Collection Kit
What it’s for: skin, ear, oral, feces, and non-urine fluids (e.g., bile, joint fluid, sputum, BAL, washes/rinses, FNAs). Use a dry sterile swab; for fluids, mix liquid directly in the tube (not a soaked swab). Min 2 mL, ideal 4 mL for fluids.Ship-by window: within 1 year of collection using the prepaid return envelope.

How to collect (swab):
Label tube with clinic + patient. 2) Gloves on; keep swab tip sterile. 3) Collect (press/twirl skin or ear 10×; pea-sized feces). 4) Insert swab into solution. 5) Snap handle at breakpoint. 6) Seal cap tightly. 7) Shake 10X. 8) Bag & mail with sample info.
Report timing: 48 hours after receipt of sample.
Urine Collection Kit
What it’s for: urine via cystocentesis or free-catch. Fill the provided tube as much as possible (≥2 mL ideal), and mix with the reagent by shaking. Ship using the prepaid return envelope (or schedule FedEx pickup). Includes: urine tube with preservation solution, sample card, clear bag, prepaid return envelope.
How to collect (urine):
Label tube. 2) Collect urine (cysto or free-catch). 3) Transfer urine into the MiDOG tube. 4) Seal tightly. 5) Shake 10X to mix. 6) Bag & mail with sample info.

Each kit’s tube contains a preservation reagent. Do not drink, touch, or remove the reagent; it can irritate skin and eyes. If exposure occurs, rinse with water for 20 minutes; seek medical attention for ingestion; do not induce vomiting. Keep out of reach of children.
